Looking Back at Life In Simsbury | An Award Winning Community
When we built the concepts and content behind LifeInSimsbury.com we worked with award-winning developers Landworks + Nelson Construction and Trio Properties in the bucolic town of Simsbury, Connecticut; meeting small business owners, farm curators, and entrepreneurs that comprise this unique nature-inspired destination. If everyone was lucky enough to have clients like these folks...they trust intently and are especially receptive when we bring them our outside-the-box ideas, (like when we said we wanted to build a website and feature all things special about Simsbury to sell their real estate). Overall, they are just good humans and stewards of their town and the planet. When visiting a Landworks property, you immediately feel the difference. I think it's their openness to cultivating new ideas while honoring history and their over-the-top commitment to craftmanship. This recipe works seamlessly with our business model because they wanted our ideas from the time they broke ground and together we've brought four inventive properties to the market place with record lease-ups, just shy of 6 months each. But I regress... back to building Life In Simsbury.
Our first step in capturing Simsbury was a four-day photoshoot, where we set out to photograph the bounty of talented people, shop owners, and nature-inspired settings that dot this one-of-a-kind New England town. We placed their James Beard-nominated chef Tyler Anderson and his concept restaurant Millwright's Restaurant and 1680 Tavern and their town center The Mill at Hopbrook front and center as the cornerstones of this town beside the great mighty Connecticut River. Their four smart-growth developments; one custom neighborhood of single-family homes, one townhome condominium, and two upscale apartment communities, naturally benefited from being featured on LifeInSimsbury.com as top choices when people are looking to move to Simsbury, CT.
As for the award-winning aspect, I don't state that lightly. Landworks Development has received multiple awards, many with BRIO's involvement including Community of the Year, Best Clubhouse, Best Rental Community, and Best Brochure, and Marketed Community for Highcroft Apartments HBA 2016; Community of the Year, Best Smart Growth Community, Energy Efficient / Green Community, Best Mixed Use Community, Best Rental Luxury Rental Unit, HBA 2013 for Grist Mill Commons Simsbury; National HBA Gold Energy Value Housing Award for Hamilton Way in 2010 — the first NBHA gold EVHA awarded to a Connecticut firm; and Best Commercial Rehab/Adaptive Re-Use for 340 Main Street, Farmington among many others.
Trio Properties won CTAA's Nutmeg Awards, Property Management Company of the year consecutive years from 2014 - 2018.
